Cheat players in Call of Duty will not be able to see opponents during matches

In its campaign against unfair gameplay in Call Of Duty, Activision continues to adopt additional restrictions, including a new rule that stops cheats from observing their opponents during matches.

The security controller anti-cheat, which operates at the PC kernel level, is part of the Ricochet anti-cheat system, which was released globally this week for Call of Duty: Vanguard, according to the company.

Ricochet originally appeared in Call of Duty: Warzone, and after undergoing a review period of his most recent improvements, he has arrived to this final saga, which began in November 2021, with a unique feature that will assist legitimate gamers.

According to Activision, video game makers have used a technique known as ‘Cloaking,’ which involves hiding opponents from cheating gamers during games.

Cheats will be unable to discern characters, bullets, or even the sound of legal gamers, according to the business, which also noted that opponents will be able to spot the cheaters.

This mitigation approach would be similar to ‘Damage Shield,’ which was already included in the game at the end of February (damage shield). This safeguards legitimate players and gives them a competitive advantage over their opponents.

When it recognizes a cheater in real time, it inhibits their ability to cause harm to other players while leaving it vulnerable to hostile fire, allowing rivals to finish them off.

Activision has stated that it would continue to improve its anti-cheat systems in order to ensure that legitimate players have a positive gaming experience.

“We realize that for every breakthrough we make, cheaters are working on ways to get around these improvements,” he said. In addition, he has urged players to continue reporting on the game and reporting cheaters.

In this regard, it’s worth recalling that, thanks to the use of Ricochet, the firm suspended about 50,000 accounts in a single day at the end of last year for cheating.

The story of Call of Duty: Vanguard is set in the beginnings of the Special Forces and their role in history. There are four troops from different countries as protagonists in the single-player narrative, and there is also a multiplayer mode with 20 levels.
