“Children do not control themselves”: the new Chinese law, what does it say?

Itzik Shai, known as “Itzik the Chinese”, an Israeli resident of China, Talked this morning (Tuesday) with Golan Yokfaz and Anat Davidov on 103FM regarding the new law in China, according to which children are not allowed to play more than three hours a week in computer games. “You see that children do not control themselves and that creates a lot of problems.”

He said that one morning things changed, so in the various widgets it is necessary to provide age information in order to use them, and a time limit is created in advance. “The government has given an order that children are allowed to play three days a week, one hour every day, in computer games and on mobile phones. This is a phenomenon that is sweeping the whole country.”

When asked what the punishment is for someone who exceeds the time limit, he replied: “If it happens to someone in the family no one knows, so nothing can be done. I think it is for the benefit of the parents, that they do not want the children to play for hours.”
