The partnership between HMD and Mattel was announced at the beginning of the year, at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, and is now on the market to offer “a burst of nostalgia and a touch of glamour” to consumers’ lives, for 129.99 euros.

This clamshell phone offers a set of basic functions, such as calls, text messages and a 0.3 MP camera with flash, and a user interface with Barbie wallpapers and app icons inspired by the doll. The battery offers up to nine hours of talk time.

It is a device designed to encourage digital disconnection, and therefore includes wellness applications such as ‘Digital Balance Tips’, ‘BarbieMeditation’ and, in the settings, ‘Self-care reminders’. Relaxing sounds and alarms have also been selected.

As for its design, this retro-looking phone comes in pink, with a mirror on the front and replaceable covers. It comes with a strap that can be adorned with Barbie charms and a set of adhesive crystals and stickers.
