In detail, eight new voices will be added that will not only expand the timbre and accent options, but will also offer skills, such as the ability to imitate animal sounds.

The new voices, revealed by user Tibor Blaho via a video on the X platform, include Fathom, Glimmer, Harp, Maple, Orbit, Rainbow, Reef, Ridge, and Vale. Each of them has characteristics that allow you to choose between different styles and intonations.

One of the most striking features of this update is the ability of the new voices to imitate non-verbal sounds, such as dogs barking or crows cawing.

This development comes after a difficult year for OpenAI, which faced controversy related to a voice that imitated actress Scarlett Johansson. With this new update, the company seeks to put that episode behind it.

According to Android Police, it is not known whether these voices will make it into the final version of ChatGPT, although it is possible because there is a lot of work done by actors behind it. However, not all voices may be used.
