Washington hopes that Yerevan and Baku will be able to sign the peace agreement ahead of COP 29, said Tom Sullivan, the senior political advisor of the US Secretary of State, in response to the question of the correspondent of the Azerbaijani “Turan” agency.

Tom Sullivan, who, according to the media, was present yesterday at the talks between the foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan, organized by Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, said that both sides “made significant progress on a number of specific elements of the peace agreement”.

“There were several unresolved issues… We agreed yesterday that we will continue to seek solutions for the issues that need to be resolved,” the US Secretary of State’s senior political advisor told the agency, without specifying which issues Yerevan and Baku agreed on. reached and on which points the disagreements persist.

“The teams will continue to work in the coming days and weeks and see if we can actually get to a point where the two countries are able to complete a peace agreement,” added Tom Sullivan.
