Russia loses confidence in Putin: “We lost the war, the end of his term is approaching”

Russian defense officials have lost faith in President Vladimir Putin, believing that Russia lost the war in Ukraine and estimating that Putin’s end to rule is imminent, Business Insider reported this morning (Sunday).

According to the report, one of the world’s leading expert commentators on Russian affairs, Hristo Grozev, said that according to sources he has, the Russian top security officials have already come to terms with the loss in the war.

Grozev added that although Putin still has the option of using nuclear or chemical weapons, top Russian officials are no longer convinced that it will be useful, arguing that “it is better not to waste the lives of ten thousand Russian soldiers.”
