Five were killed, more than 80 were trapped in the rubble of a solitaire in Iran

At least five people were killed when a ten-storey building under construction collapsed in the Iranian city of Abadan today, local media reported.

More than 80 people are still under the rubble, so it is feared that there may be more victims.

Parts of the building fell on nearby shops and cars.

Regional Governor Ehsun Abaspour said 27 people were injured, some of them in critical condition.

The cause of the collapse of the ten-story building is not known, and the owner of the building has been arrested.
