Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani ruled out the possibility of changing the Constitution of Kosovo in order to create the Union of Serbian Municipalities, as well as its formation.
“We will not allow any unification of cities and communities that would create a monoethnic power structure in our country. It is neither in our interest, nor in the interest of the region or our allies,” Osmani told the German newspaper Süddeutsche Zeitung.
Before arriving in Berlin on Tuesday, Osmani “categorically excluded” the possibility of changing the Constitution with the aim of implementing the agreement on the formation of the Union of Serbian Municipalities, reports KoSSev.
“If we allow the Serbian Association of Cities and Municipalities in Kosovo, this would only be a preliminary phase for Serbia to another Republika Srpska. We do not want another dysfunctional state like Bosnia and Herzegovina,” Osmani said.
