Fear of Israeli casualties in plane crash in Greece: Greek media last night (Monday) reported a Cessna 172 plane that left Israel and crashed in the Aegean Sea, near the island of Samos. According to state reports, two bodies were found at sea – and rescued.

Apparently it was a private flight whose occupants reported a malfunction as they approached the Greek island. “We located fragments of the plane at sea, about two kilometers south of the island’s airport,” a Greek Coast Guard source told Reuters.

The Foreign Ministry is aware of the reports, but no further details have been released.
