An Egyptian HTS militant who called for the overthrow of al-Sisi was arrested in Syria.

The new Syrian authorities detained the Egyptian militant of the Hayat Tahrir al-Sham group, Ahmad al-Mansour, who called for the overthrow of Egyptian President Abd al-Fattah al-Sisi.

After the overthrow of Syrian leader Bashar al-Assad, al-Mansour began posting videos on social networks. “Egyptian dictator, you are next,” he declared, calling on Egyptians to rise up against al-Sisi.

The Egyptian authorities demanded that Syria stop these actions, and the Egyptian media called al-Mansur himself a terrorist. The detention of the militant was announced by the new Minister of Defense of Syria, who was his commander during the civil war.
