A delegation of jurists denounces that Morocco has prevented its mission of observation in the Western Sahara

The International Association of Jurists for Western Sahara has denounced this Saturday that Moroccan authorities have prevented the beginning of an observation mission on the situation of the Saharawi civil population.

In a statement published in its Network X account, the delegation denounces that “Moroccan occupation authorities prevented the entrance to the occupied city of El Aaiún” to this delegation, composed of lawyers Dolores Naughty Darías, Flora Marrero Ramos, and the Silvestre Technician Suárez Fernández.

“The delegation tried to disembark being intercepted by two men without uniform or identification,” according to the association in its statement, which denounces a “growing repression and lack of transparency about what happens in the Saharawi areas occupied by Morocco.”

It should be remembered that in 2023 another similar episode occurred when the Polisario Front denounced a “violent” and “unjustified” expulsion of mischievous pains and his partner Inés Miranda and Lola Travieso, of the territory of the Western Sahara by the Moroccan authorities, also when they tried to perform another mission of observation.
