A Russian citizen accused of avoiding military service has been arrested in Yerevan, then released

Nikolai Zonov, who was arrested in Armenia, was released on March 12 to avoid military service on March 12, and Azatutyun reported by the Prosecutor General’s Office.

Earlier, the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that the 30-year-old Russian citizen was arrested “on the grounds of wanting.”

The Prosecutor General’s Office did not elaborate on when and on the basis of the Armenian restaurants were released.

Nikolay Zonov’s wife, Arik Zonova, wrote on her onset of the social network that her husband was arrested in Yerevan when receiving Armenian citizenship. On March 12, he wrote on his report of “Instagram” that the husband is at the scene of the detainees and fears the criminal prosecution and retaliation, because he does not support the war against Ukraine.

In a conversation with “Novaya Gazeta Europe”, Arevik Zonova said that her husband left Russia in September 2023 after the announcement of mobilization. And the husband later charged with “not appearing in the conscription or military service during a military service” and wanted to search.

“Freedom” contacted Zonova, he did not answer the questions, urging them later.

Roman Swinger, who is wanted to write about Russia’s war against Ukraine, has been released in February. Russian security forces reached Yerevan, but he refused to go, after which the Russian force had left.
