Bus plunges into chasm in Pakistan, at least 20 dead

On Sunday, July 3, in southwestern Pakistan, a passenger bus ran off the road into a gorge and fell from a height of more than 60 meters, the Associated Press reported.

According to local authorities, about 35 passengers were on the bus, at least 19 of them died.

The injured were taken to local hospitals, many in serious condition. The number of victims may rise.

AP notes that the cause of the accident, apparently, was bad weather: it was raining heavily, the road was very slippery.
