Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain will transfer part of her duties to Prince Charles of Wales. As the Daily Mail notes, the list of duties of the monarch, published by the Buckingham Palace, has undergone changes.
This list is being revised for the first time in 10 years.
The Queen is still designated head of state and nation. Previously, the monarch’s list of duties as head of state included 13 items, including opening new sessions of parliament, appointing the prime minister and state visits.
This year, instead of 96-year-old Elizabeth II, 73-year-old Prince Charles took part in the opening of the Parliament.
