In Syria, one of the leaders of the repressive apparatus of Assad was arrested

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Syria announced the arrest of Brigadier General Sultan Al-Yinaui, who under Bashar al-Assade was a senior employee of the Air Force intelligence, one of the main repressive bodies of the overthrown regime.

“Al-Yinaui is responsible for war crimes against the civilian population, including massacres committed in the vicinity of Damascus in 2016. He also was responsible for the connections between the leadership of the Lebanese Hizballs and groups in Syria,” the Ministry of Internal Affairs said.

The direct chief of the general was the head of the Air Force intelligence, Jamil Hassan, whom the French court in absentia found guilty of crimes against humanity and war crimes.

He was accused, among other things, in the campaign to drop the “barrels” – barrels stuffed with explosives, as well as in torture and murders of opponents of the Assad regime during the civil war in Syria.
