Among those killed as a result of a terrorist attack in India are at least one Israeli

At least 28 people died as a result of a terrorist attack in the Indian Kashmir, where armed people opened fire on a group of tourists, after making sure that there were no Muslims among them. According to Indian sources, terrorists forced tourists to take off their trousers and checked their identity certificates. After making sure that they were not Muslims in front of them, the militants shot tourists point blank.

Among the dead are one Israeli, one citizen of Italy, as well as an Indian fleet officer. At least 13 people were injured in varying severity, they are in hospitals, reports mee.

Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar expressed condolences to India in connection with the terrorist attack. “Our hearts are now with the victims and their loved ones,” Saar said. “Israel stands shoulder to shoulder with India in the fight against bloody terrorism.”

The city of Pakhalgam, next to which the shooting occurred, is located in an area resembling the Alps and is a popular tourist object. This area is visited by many Israeli citizens, especially young people after serving in the army.

Kashmir is primarily by Muslims, but is controlled by India. There are several separatist groups. One of them, the previously little -known “Kashmir’s resistance” took responsibility for the attack, which has become the most difficult in recent years.
