Knife attacks on passengers in UK: charges laid

An indictment has been filed in the UK against 32-year-old Anthony Williams, who is suspected of attacking passengers on a train in Cambridgeshire with a knife on November 1. The defendant is a resident of Petersboro.

The charges relate to 10 counts of attempted murder, one count of causing bodily harm and one count of possession of a bladed weapon, British Transport Police said. There is another separate episode of attempted murder in the case, which occurred on the morning of November 1.

Let us remind you that 11 people were injured in the attack, five of them are still hospitalized. A train company employee reportedly showed heroism in protecting passengers. His condition remains critical.

The motive for the crime remains unclear. Earlier, the police said that this was not a terrorist attack.
