Armenia won the 4th gold medal at the European Youth and Under-23 Weightlifting Championships held in Durres, Albania, reports the Armenian Weightlifting Federation.
According to the report, Emma Poghosyan, a member of the national team of Armenia, had three successful attempts in the snatch exercise in the competition of the 86 kg weightlifters of young people, successively lifting 100 kg, 103 kg, 105 kg. Poghosyan was third in this exercise. In the push exercise, the Armenian weightlifter lifted 131 kg and 136 kg, setting a European record. In this form, he was the first.
Emma Poghosyan became the champion of the European Youth Championship with a result of 241 kg.
