In a serious accident in the capital of Sweden Several people were killed on Friday afternoon at 3:23 p.m.
3 people killed, five injured
A bus crashed into a bus stop on a busy street in the center of the city. There are said to be three fatalities. According to authorities, five people were injured, two of them seriously. This is reported by the newspapers “Aftonbladet” and “Expressen” and based on information from police.

The Traffic accident happened on Valhallavägen near the Technical University. Police, rescue services and ambulances are on duty.
Road closed after the accident
According to police, the street was closed. There is no information yet on the cause of the accident. The investigators are currently not assuming that the act was intentional, they say.

According to media reports, the bus involved in the accident was a double-decker that was not in service. Passengers were therefore not on board.
The driver was temporarily arrested and questioned, as several media reports. The cause of the accident could have been a medical emergency, according to “Expressen”.
Sweden’s Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson expressed his condolences on “X”: “We don’t yet know the cause, but my thoughts are now primarily with those affected and their relatives.” The accident victims were people “who were perhaps on their way home to family, friends or a quiet evening at home.”
