Russia has presented its draft resolution on Gaza to the UN, in contrast to that of the United States based on Donald Trump’s peace plan. This was revealed by Reuters, which obtained a copy of the text, according to what the Israeli media wrote. In recent days, the Americans had informally circulated a draft, claiming to have the support of regional countries for the authorization of a stabilization force and a transitional council for the governance of Gaza for two years. The Russian mission to the UN, in a note sent to the members of the Security Council, specified that this is “a counter-proposal inspired by the United States draft: our objective is to allow the Council to develop a balanced, acceptable and united approach to achieve a sustainable cessation of hostilities”.
Trump will host Israeli hostages released in October next Thursday
Meanwhile, next Thursday, Trump will host at the White House the Israeli citizens freed by Hamas as part of the ceasefire agreement signed last October. The Times of Israel learned this from informed sources. Contrary to previous reports, the 20 former hostages, all freed on October 13, will not travel on a charter flight organized by Trump but on a commercial flight paid for by the Israeli government.
IDF: “Terrorist killed across the yellow line in Gaza, another violation of the truce agreement”
The Israeli forces (IDF) confirm that they have killed “a terrorist” who had crossed the Yellow Line in the Gaza Strip, indicated as a reference for the first phase of the announced gradual withdrawal of the IDF. “Another violation of the ceasefire – we read in a post on X of the IDF – A terrorist was identified as he crossed the yellow line and approached the IDF in southern Gaza in violation of the ceasefire agreement”. The IDF “eliminated the terrorist”.
4 Palestinians arrested: “Linked to Isis, they were preparing the ‘great end of time war'”
Four Palestinian residents of East Jerusalem have been indicted on charges of having links to ISIS and planning “a great end-time war” against Israeli Jews. This was announced by the Shin Bet, the internal secret service, according to which the four, all in their twenties, were recently arrested and their interrogations revealed that “they support the ideology of the Islamic State and have viewed large quantities of the organization’s online content, including gruesome materials and videos of executions”. “Influenced by the contents of the organization, they planned to purchase military equipment, weapons and armaments to prepare for what they call ‘the great war of the end times’ against the Jews,” the Israeli intelligence claims.
According to the Shin Bet, the suspects began purchasing military equipment and one of them managed to obtain a gun, which was later seized. “I will use the gun against Jews or anyone who is not Muslim,” one of the four said, according to reports.
Unifil denounces: “Israel has built walls in Lebanon beyond the Blue Line”
I UN peacekeepers have denounced that the Israeli army has erected concrete barriers in southern Lebanon, trespassing beyond the ‘Blue Line’ demarcation that serves as a de facto border between the two countries. The report comes from the United Nations International Force in Lebanon (Unifil), almost a year after the ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah came into force.
According to the UN mission, in October observers detected “a reinforced concrete T-wall erected by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) south-west of Yaroun”. The verification on the ground “confirmed that the wall crossed the Blue Line, making over 4,000 square meters of territory inaccessible to Lebanese citizens”. In November, peacekeepers recorded further work in the same area, finding another portion of barrier beyond the dividing line, this time southeast of Yaroun.
