Several people have died and others have been injured after being hit by a bus this Friday in the center of Stockholmreported the swedish policewhich has not offered specific figures so far.
The bus driver has been arrested and a case for involuntary manslaughter has been opened, and the Police do not believe it is terrorism, according to public television SVT.
Other media such as the digital Expressen point to a possible health problem of the driver, who crashed the bus into a stop.
“Several people were run over by a bus in Valhallavägen near the Institute of Technology. Both people were injured and killed in the incident,” the latest police statement states.
According to a spokesperson for the Stockholm region, there are three dead and two injured, although this number has not been officially confirmed.

According to emergency services, the bus was out of service and had no passengers at the time of the accident, which took place in the Östermalm neighborhood in the center of the Swedish capital.
Police technicians have gone to the area, which has been cordoned off by order of the authorities.
