Assistance to Ukraine

Sharing a 535-kilometer border with Ukraine, Poland served as a key hub for the provision of allied military assistance to Kiev. Local police said a train driver had reported damage to the railway line yesterday. The explosion occurred near the village of Mika, in the province of Masovia, about 130 kilometers from the border between Poland and Ukraine. According to Tusk, the explosion was probably meant to blow up a train. Polish authorities have launched an investigation into the accident and are inspecting another section of the railway, which was also damaged.

Warsaw has raised the alarm over the growing cases of sabotage and espionage activities that have affected Poland in recent years, with numerous incidents linked to Russian or Belarusian secret services. Poland said Russia had stepped up hybrid operations against the country due to Polish support for Kiev in the war with Moscow.
