At least 13 people were killed today and three were injured in the explosion of two bombs placed next to the road in the Syrian capital, Damascus, state television reported.

The bombs exploded not far from a bus carrying soldiers during the rush hour, when most people go to work.

The explosions erupted on one of the main roads, and according to Syrian television, another bomb was found not far from there and deactivated.

No one has claimed responsibility for the attack.
