Israeli alert on the Lebanese border… and raids and bombings of homes in the south

French President Emmanuel Macron sent an invitation to his Lebanese counterpart Joseph Aoun to participate in the international conference in support of the Lebanese army scheduled for next March 5, amid Israeli alert on the northern border and continued military escalation through air strikes and bombings of homes in the south. Yesterday, Thursday, Aoun received an official invitation from Macron to participate in chairing the international conference in support of the Lebanese Army and Internal Security Forces, scheduled to be held in Paris on March 5, conveyed to him by French Ambassador Harvey Magro. Macron noted in the invitation that “Aoun’s personal participation constitutes a strong political signal that reflects the strength of the ties between France and Lebanon, and the commitment of both parties to the stability of Lebanon and the restoration of its sovereignty.”
