Activist of the movement Let’s not drown Belgrade Dobrica Veselinović stated today before the first hearing on the lawsuit of the construction company “Millennium Team”, that the process shows the company’s fear due to the movement’s determination to stand in the way of investors harmful to the public interest.
“That company is connected with the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) and is involved in numerous state projects such as Belgrade on the water and gasification,” Veselinovic told reporters in front of the High Court in Belgrade.
Veselinović emphasized that the lawsuit does not scare him and added that the movement has a great legal team.
The construction company “Millennium Team” sued “Let’s not drown Belgrade” for compensation of material damage in the amount of almost 12 million dinars, due to the publication of a text on the change of the urban plan which enables this company to demolish the Gosa research and development institute and build a residential and business complex. the same place.
As it is stated in the lawsuit, Let’s Not Drown Belgrade, the Millennium team inflicted material damage in the form of a reduction in the value of the company’s trademark in the amount of 100 thousand euros, which is the same as the lawsuit for compensation.
The “Millennium Team” also sued the internet portals Info Vranjske and Jug Press, the newspaper Danas, television H1 and the portal Nova.rs, demanding mostly 100,000 euros for each lawsuit.
The portals were sued for transmitting statements of some opposition politicians from press conferences or their statements.
