Inflation – Czech Republic announces upper limit for rent and heating costs

The Czech government has announced state aid so that citizens’ expenses for their homes, including electricity, water and heating, do not exceed 30 percent of their income. This was announced by Prime Minister Petr Fiala.

Energy costs are one of the main drivers of inflation, which rose to 17.5 percent year-on-year in July in the Czech Republic.
