The fire on southern Velebit is being extinguished by four firefighters

According to the firemen, there are volunteer fire companies on the ground with ten firemen and three vehicles.

The fire is being extinguished for which the Šibenik County Fire Operations Center (ŽVOC) received a report of a fire in an open space in the area of ​​Kočević, southern Velebit at 2:03 p.m., the Croatian Fire Association (HVZ) reported late Friday afternoon.

On the ground are the volunteer fire brigades of Knin, Sveti Juraj Kistanje and Ervenik with ten firefighters and three vehicles.

Four Canadair CL-415s are also participating in firefighting. First, two Canadairs were sent, and then, based on the pilot’s request and the approval of the chief fire chief, two more Canadairs, notes HVZ.
