Tarja releases new metal album unleashes epic power

Tarja is back – and this time harder than ever. The exceptional Finnish singer is releasing her new album “Frisson Noir” on June 12th and is clearly showing where she belongs: at the top of metal. After years between classical, rock and experiments, this is their most powerful work to date.

The album itself is a massive package. “Frisson Noir” combines orchestral sound worlds with modern metal – sometimes quiet and fragile, then loud and uncompromising. Tarja’s voice takes center stage and moves effortlessly between fragile emotion and pure power.

Big topics, big voices

Ten songs deal with big themes: identity, fear, strength, departure. Sometimes melancholic, sometimes rebellious – but always intense. Tarja is supported by prominent guests such as Dani Filth, Apocalyptica, Marko Hietala and Chad Smith.

The start is successful with the single “At Sea”. A song that describes exactly the feeling that runs through the entire album: that tingling feeling when music gets right under your skin. Orchestra, choir and metal merge into a sound that is simultaneously monumental and approachable.
