Polls closedfor the second round of the municipal elections. Today voting took place until 15 per i ballots in forty-two municipalities above 15 thousand inhabitants. The turnout stopped at 52.07%. In the first round the turnout in the same municipalities was 60.48% (-8.41%). The data does not include the first electoral round in the Sardinian municipalities.

Among these there are also six capitals: Agrigento, Arezzo, Chieti, Lecco, Macerata e Trani. Voting for the first round is also taking place in 148 municipalities in Sardinia where 400 thousand citizens are called to vote.
At 11pm yesterday, turnout was 39.79%, down by around 7 points
At 11pm on Sunday the turnout figure was 39.79%. According to what was published on the Eligendo website, turnout in the 1,212 sections was down by around 7 percentage points (46.56%) compared to the same time of the first round.
First round in Sardinia, at 11pm turnout at 46.45%, growing
At 11pm yesterday, the turnout for the first round of the municipal elections in Sardinia was 46.45%, up by more than 2 percentage points compared to the 44.20% of the previous round. This was reported by the Eligendo website of the Ministry of the Interior.
The positions at the starting blocks
Looking at the results of the first round, the centre-right candidates start ahead in Lecco (with Filippo Boscagli), Macerata (with Sandro Parcaroli) and Arezzo (with Marcello Comanducci).
The centre-left is ‘ahead’ in Agrigento (with Michele Sodano), in Trani (with Marco Galiano) and in Chieti (with Giovanni Legnini).
