New Zealand has banned three more Israelis from entering the country. The blacklist included the owner of the construction company Eyal Hari Yehuda, Itamar Yehuda Levy, and the owners of the company Libi Construction and Infrastructure, Harel David Libi and Eliav Libi. This was announced on June 9 by New Zealand Foreign Minister Winston Peters. He stated that the listed persons contribute to the expansion of illegal settlements.
Winston Peters emphasized that “this step is not directed against the entire people of Israel or the government, but against specific three people.”
New Zealand’s foreign minister said his country would continue to insist that the Palestinian-Israeli conflict must be resolved through a two-state solution, and that the violence accompanying settlement expansion was undermining that principle.
In 2024, the New Zealand government announced it would ban entry into its territory of “radical Israeli settlers who have attacked Palestinians in the West Bank.” A total of 35 Israelis were blacklisted.
