Three people were injured today (Saturday) by a knife stab during a train ride in the Bavarian state of southern Germany, between Regensburg and Nuremberg. The identity of the attacker and the circumstances of the incident are still unclear.

The Bild newspaper reported that three people were injured, two seriously. None of the injured are in danger of death. The attacker was arrested, police later said, and the threat ended. “There is currently no further information on those involved,” the police statement said.

A police spokesman added that the details of the attack were unclear, noting that the report was received around 9:20 p.m.
