Biden:  The United States stands by Armenia

The United States will continue to support the democratic aspirations, sovereignty and security of the Armenian people, it was said in the congratulatory message of the US President Joseph Biden to the Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan on the occasion of the Independence Day of Armenia.

“We remain committed to working with you and other parties to support the peaceful resolution of the conflict, including for the people of Nagorno-Karabakh,” the message also said.

“On behalf of the United States of America, I send my warm congratulations to the Armenian people on Independence Day. We will continue to support the democratic aspirations, sovereignty and security of the Armenian people,” Biden wrote to Pashinyan. – “On September 21, we join the Armenian people to celebrate your dedication to democracy and the strong ties of friendship between our countries and peoples.”

The US president emphasizes that “recent military operations underscore the need to redouble our diplomacy so that Armenia can look to a prosperous and peaceful future, which includes normalizing relations with its neighbors,” and expresses condolences for the victims of the recent attacks. “We highly appreciate your support for the efforts to establish greater stability in the region,” said the US President’s message to the Prime Minister of Armenia.

“This year, our renewed US-Armenia strategic dialogue reaffirmed our joint commitment to strengthening ties in bilateral relations and underscored the United States’ support for Armenia’s democratic trajectory. The United States stands with Armenia as you continue to work to fight corruption, develop accountable institutions, strengthen the rule of law, and strengthen respect for human rights.

Our joint work over the past year has continued to strengthen and deepen the ties between our peoples. I wish the entire Armenian people a safe and peaceful Independence Day,” said Joe Biden’s message, which was translated into Armenian by the news agency of the Armenian Prime Minister’s Office.

United States Secretary of State Anthony Blinken also sent a congratulatory message to Armenia on Independence Day.
