German Chancellor Olaf Scholz once again stated that “Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity are inviolable.”
“Fictive referendums and the Russian initiative to annex a part of Ukraine violate international law and have no value. They have no legal force for us,” he said during a joint press conference with Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte.
Scholz noted that Germany and the Netherlands will continue to support Ukraine in countering Russian aggression. According to him, the two countries are training Ukrainian demining specialists and will continue close cooperation in supplying weapons to Kiev, as has already been done in the case of howitzers.
