Ibrahim Raisi, who was elected President of Iran today (Saturday), received warm congratulations on his election from the Supreme Leader of Iran, Ali Khamenei, and the outgoing President Hassan Rouhani. Additional blessings have also begun to flow from the leaders of the Arab world, including: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, whose Iranian branches are based on Iranian affiliates.
“The big winner in yesterday’s election is the Iranian nation,” Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei stressed in his greeting to Iranian President-elect Raisi. “The Iranian nation once again opposed the media propaganda of the mercenaries and overcame the temptation of criminals and murderers.”
He further stressed that “Iran has shown its presence in the heart of the country’s political arena despite the plight of the poor, despite the outbreak of the plague and despite the disruptions during Election Day.
“Appreciate the opportunity to serve the nation and remember the divine motives”

Khamenei thanked God for the success he has given to the Iranian nation and the mercy he has given to the Islamic Republic. He later turned to President-elect Raisi and reminded him that he must “appreciate the opportunity to serve the country and the nation and always remember the divine motives.”
The current President of Iran, Hassan Rouhani, also congratulated the elected President, Ibrahim Raisi. President Rouhani said he had no doubt Raisi would use all existing capabilities to solve problems and accelerate Iran’s satisfaction of demands. He went on to express the hope that with the efforts of the President-elect and the greater cooperation of all the forces in the country, Iran will lead effective steps that will lead to its development and prosperity.
President Rouhani stressed that as of August 3, 2021, Raisi would be the president of all Iranians and promised that “everyone will fully support him and his legitimate government.”
Congratulations to the Arab world
In a telegram sent by Syrian President Bashar al-Assad to the president-elect, he sent his warm congratulations to Raisi and congratulated him on the confidence of the Iranian people and his victory in the presidential election. Al-Assad sought the success of the president-elect and wished him to complete the approach of the Islamic Revolution, while leading his country to prosperity and progress in all areas.
Following the telegram, the Syrian president expressed interest in working with the president-elect and stressed that his goal is to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries, which he said are based on decades of historical friendship, mutual understanding and common interests between the Syrian Arab Republic and the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan also congratulated Ibrahim Raisi on winning the Iranian presidential election, saying he believed that cooperation between the two countries would be strengthened during the tenure of the new president. “Looking forward to working with you,” Erdogan wrote in a letter sent to Tehran.
