The Pentagon said that Turkey attacked bases in Syria where the Americans were located

The US Department of Defense reported that Turkish Air Force strikes on Kurdish self-defense units in northern Syria were carried out, including on the bases where American troops were stationed.

“The latest attacks in Syria have posed an immediate threat to US personnel who, along with local partners, are fighting the Islamic State and supporting more than 10,000 ISIS captives,” Brigadier General Pat Ryder, a Pentagon spokesman, said in a statement.

Initially, the Americans claimed that the Turks used UAVs to attack positions near the base where the US Army personnel were stationed, but the strikes did not pose a threat to them. However, the Central Command soon issued a statement that there was a risk of defeat for American soldiers.
