World Cup 2022: In the Gulf, they support the expressions of hatred against Israel in Qatar

While the World Cup in Qatar continues to provide spectators with great football drama and entertainment, the Israelis continue to suffer expressions of hostility and hatred from the fans of the many Arab national teams participating in the World Cup. Only recently broadcasters were asked to take down signs in Hebrew so that they would not be recognized. Meanwhile, the Mufti of the Sultanate of Oman, Ahmed bin Hamad al-Khalili,expressed his support for the expressions of hatred directed against the “Zions”.

According to him, “We praise those who refused to cooperate with the occupying Zionists, whom they met in Qatar. Among them are Qataris or the rest of the Arab and Muslim brothers. This is because they did not accept the appeasement prohibited by Sharia, and declared it to the occupying Zionists that they have no right. This indicates that the situation of the Arab people is still fine.”

As mentioned, many Israeli broadcasters have said that they have experienced expressions of hatred so far in Qatar. Thus, “Kan 11” commentator, Eli Ohana, said that a local policeman was on the trip, told him that he was Israeli, but later changed his version and claimed that he was from Portugal. This, after the policeman pointed out to Ohana that “if you were from Israel I would stop and drive back”. After being asked by Ohana about the reason for this, he replied: “I am Palestinian”.

In another case, “Kan 11” messenger to the World Cup, Dor Hoffman, also told about the hatred towards the Israelis in the World Cup. According to him, “It was a ‘maafen’ day that put things out of proportion. It started in the morning when we got into a taxi, and the driver found out that we were Israelis, he really didn’t like it, he dropped us off anywhere, he said he wasn’t ready to take money from us because we were killing his brothers And all these things, fine, we changed taxis,” he said. “Then we arrived at a local beach restaurant, just to take a picture of the people on the beach. The owner asked to know where we were from, found out we were from Israel, brought us security guards to kick us out, took my phone, asked me to delete everything I took there, I felt threatened,” he admitted.
