– Smog suffocates New Delhi and the authorities of the Indian capital have ordered the closure of the schools until further notice, have launched appeals to work from home and have banned the entry of non-essential heavy vehicles into the city at least until 21 November.

Delhi, about 20 million inhabitants, it is one of the most polluted cities in the world and every year in winter it is shrouded in a thick blanket of smog. On Saturday, the city government ordered schools to close for a week and banned construction work for four days. But now the Air Quality Management Commission has ordered the closure of all schools at the moment for a fixed term.
