Fireworks also canceled in Amsterdam and Rotterdam

The planned fireworks shows in the Dutch cities of Amsterdam and Rotterdam are canceled due to the stormy weather. This has been announced by the organizers.

Throughout the Netherlands, municipalities and organizations are discussing whether or not the fireworks shows will take place. A number of municipalities proceeded with cancellations. The show at the A’Dam Toren in Amsterdam has been moved to January 2. Two fireworks shows have been canceled in Hilversum and a drone and laser show in Apeldoorn has been cancelled.

Later, the decision was also made to cancel the national fireworks at the Erasmus Bridge in Rotterdam due to the weather. The fireworks shows at two other places in the municipality, Hoek van Holland and Nesselande, have also been cancelled.
