Merdare administrative crossing blocked (VIDEO)
About 50 members of the Movement of Faith, Hope, Love blocked the administrative crossing of Merdare at noon today. The president of that movement, Nemanja Šarović, told the Beta agency that the citizens blocked the administrative crossing of Merdare due to the adoption of the law on referendum and expropriation and the arrival of Rio Tinto, “but also due to Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić’s policy towards Kosovo and Metohija and implementation of Brussels agreements.”

“Albanians are building the so-called Greater Albania, and our government is persistently silent. It has been a week since the border crossings between Albania and Kosovo were abolished, while real crossings have been made at the crossings between Kosovo and central Serbia,” said Sarovic.

He added that the citizens on Merdar blocked traffic in both directions and that the protests will last until Aleksandar Vučić leaves power.

Citizens gathered at the Merdare crossing carry banners that read “Earth is for a small kingdom, and heaven is always and forever”, “Little Schengen-Greater Albania”.
