Bus crash kills 17 in Bangladesh

On Sunday, March 19, in the south of Bangladesh, a passenger bus broke through a fence and fell into a ditch. As a result of the accident, at least 17 people died, 25 received injuries of varying severity, reports AFP.

According to police, the bus driver lost control on a difficult section of the highway.

In Bangladesh, traffic accidents are frequent due to problems with roads and transport maintenance, as well as poor driver training.

In 2022, 9,951 people died as a result of traffic accidents in Bangladesh (an all-time high).
