Iran sends a message to the world: “Nuclear weapons? Before Israel gets rid of its own”

In the wake of the nuclear talks in Vienna yesterday, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei made an unprecedented threat on the part of the Islamic Republic. Hussein Sharit Madari, who is close to Khamenei and editor of the Kihan newspaper, wrote that “Iran has no interest in building nuclear weapons. However, if the West insists on this demand, Iran must postpone nuclear talks until Israel, India, Pakistan and other countries get rid of their nuclear weapons.”

At the same time, Iranian Foreign Minister Hussein Amir Abdullahian had a telephone conversation with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, in which they discussed regional issues and nuclear talks. Guterres welcomed Iran’s agreement to place cameras at the Centrifuge Centers in Karage, saying it indicated positive cooperation between Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and would have a positive impact during the talks in Vienna.

Abdullahian said Iran was interested in a “good agreement out of good intentions”, but “will not tolerate threats in any way, and Western countries should know that threats have the opposite effect on Iran”. But a senior US official told Reuters that “if there is any acceleration in the Iranian nuclear program, we will respond accordingly.”

Following the agreement reached with the IAEA on the return of surveillance cameras to the Caraj site, after initially refusing to claim that they had assisted Israel in carrying out an attack on the site, Haroz Kamalbandi, a spokesman for Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization, explained that the new security cameras After the removal of all sanctions against Iran.

Meanwhile, despite US dissatisfaction with the renewal of the United Arab Emirates’ ties with Iran and the huge deal signed with France for the supply of 80 Rafael aircraft, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken stated that the US is still willing to sell 23 F35 aircraft to the Emirates. Blinken said the United States was “ready to move forward” in the deal “if that’s what the UAE wants.”

“Israel attacks Syria”

Meanwhile, another attack in Syria attributed to Israel – this time south of Damascus. The Arab media reported a soldier killed in the attack. On Tuesday night, just before one o’clock after midnight, it was reported in Syria that Israel had attacked targets in the south of the country.

According to reports, this time it was alleged in Syria that the Israeli attack was carried out from the Golan Heights area, and that several missiles were fired at the targets.

According to foreign publications, regardless of the nuclear talks in Vienna, Israel maintains a continuum of attacks against Iran’s interests on Syrian soil. The defense establishment believes that there is an opportunity for a significant turnaround for Iran’s expulsion from Syria, but this will not happen without the joint political involvement of the United States and Russia.
