Two Spanish drug dealers were arrested because they intended to organize a Christmas raffle by offering cocaine, hashish, alcohol as a gift to the baskets, but also, according to tradition, ham, the local police announced today.

During the search of the homes of drug dealers in the east of Spain, the police found a poster announcing a raffle with the “drug basket” award. On the wall was also hung a list of those who bought vines of five and ten euros.

During the police action, 165 marijuana plants were discovered, as well as certain amounts of cocaine and hashish.

In Spain, it is customary to donate baskets with wine, ham and sweets before the end of the year.
