President of the European Parliament hospitalized in Italy
The President of the European Parliament, David Sasoli, was hospitalized in Italy due to the poor state of the immune system, his spokesman Roberto Cuillo announced today.

He stated in a statement that Sasoli has been in the hospital since December 26 last year, and that because of that, all his activities were canceled.

“Hospitalization was necessary due to serious complications due to dysfunction of the immune system,” the statement said.

Sasoli (65) had a severe form of pneumonia in September last year and was hospitalized even then. He returned to Italy to recover, but his condition worsened again.
