The FBI confirms: Brian Lundry has confessed to the murder of his fiancée Gabby Petito

The affair that shook the United States: The FBI confirmed tonight (Friday through Saturday) that Brian Laundrie Admitted the murder of his fiancée Gabby Petito, Before ending his life. Laundrie wrote his confession in a notebook, which the investigators located.

“A review of the notebook has revealed written statements by Mr. Laundrie claiming responsibility for Ms. Petito’s death,” the FBI field office in Denver said in a statement. The notebook was discovered in October, in the same area where the remains of Laundrie were found, in the Myakkahatchee Creek Environmental Park in Florida.

As you may recall, the hunt for 23-year-old Laundrie lasted for more than a month, until the remains of his body were found in a Florida reservation. Dental tests performed during the autopsy verified that it was indeed.

About a week earlier, a coroner had determined that Petito, a 22-year-old blogger, had died of suffocation. The pathologist, who determined at the beginning of the autopsy that it was a murder, announced that Petito had been murdered about three to four weeks before her body was found, on September 19th.
