Cuban authorities evacuated 70,000 today due to fears that a tropical storm approaching the country’s coast could cause heavy rains and floods.

At least three people were killed when the storm hit the Caribbean.

Cuban authorities have provided shelter for the people, and they will do their best to provide sugar cane and cocoa crops before the storm.

About 400 people living in the mountains hid in caves.

Elsa is located about 80 kilometers north of Jamaica this morning.

The storm is expected to weaken before it hits Cuba.
