The Belgian army purchases Rafael’s anti.tank missile systems

Rafael DND’s German subsidiary will supply RGW90 systems worth € 19 million

German company Dynamite Noble Defense (DND), a subsidiary of Rafael, announced last weekend that it had won a contract worth 19 million euros for the supply of RGW90 anti-tank missile systems to the Belgian army.

DND describes the RGW90 system as a 90 mm caliber anti-armor, multi-tasking system. The HEAT / HESH model of this system is the NT version of the RGW90 series. The system can be used indoors and can destroy a wide range of land targets such as battle tanks, light weapons, fortified installations, bunkers, buildings and shelters.

The HEAT version of the system is capable of destroying 500 mm thick shielded combat vehicles. The RGW90 system is a launch and forget system consisting of a bullet through a launcher and a firing control system that includes an optical sight system, night vision system, laser rangefinder and ballistic computer. T weighs about 10 kg and can hit targets in the range of 10 meters to 400 meters.

About a year ago, the German army purchased similar systems from DND. In March 2021, the Israel Defense website reported that the German army had signed a contract with Dynamite Noble Defense for the production and supply of 2,107 90mm missiles called “Active Agents” for firing active substances of the DM15 fog effect (red phosphorus).
