German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius said in an interview with the Bild newspaper on the eve of the contact group meeting at Ramstein airbase that Germany will provide Ukraine with a new aid package worth about €400 million.
According to Pistorius, the new package of military assistance to Ukraine will include high-explosive ammunition, mortar ammunition, and anti-mine missiles.
The head of the German defense department emphasized that the Ukrainian armed forces most of all need ammunition.
At the same time, he added that the assistance package will include defense equipment and mine clearance systems, clothing and electricity generators that will be needed in the winter.
