“The President of Ukraine has been warned that according to US intelligence, Russia will launch an invasion, most likely within the next 48 hours,” a US intelligence source told Newsweek. The editors of the magazine also reported that a source in the Zelensky government confirmed that such a warning was received from the White House.

According to a Newsweek source, the offensive will be conducted not only from the Donbass republics, where additional “peacekeepers” were sent on Monday, but also from the territory of Belarus – in the direction of Kiev. According to the Pentagon, the ground and air forces of the Russian army will be involved in the offensive. air defense forces, cruise missiles will also be used.

Newsweek cites another source who claims that the attack on Ukraine will begin with a large-scale cyber attack, followed by a ground operation. The invasion is likely to begin at night.
