The Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced the surrender of an entire reconnaissance platoon of Russians

On Thursday, February 24, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valeriy Zasluzhny announced on his Facebook that soldiers of a Russian reconnaissance platoon had been taken prisoner.

He writes that this happened near Chernigov. And then he quotes foreman Buinichev Konstantin Sergeevich from the 74th motorized rifle brigade, who participated in the exercises taking place in Yelnya and thought that they were being returned home. “No one thought that we were going to kill. We were not going to fight. We were collecting information,” says the Russian serviceman.
