Kazakhstan refuses Russia’s request to join “military operation” in Ukraine

Russia turned to Kazakhstan with a request to join the “military operation” on the territory of Ukraine. Official Nur-Sultan refused to send CSTO (Collective Security Treaty Organization) forces to Donbass. This is reported by NBC.

According to the Kazakh authorities, the country cannot accept the recognition of the puppet republics of the LPR and DPR as a pretext for a military attack on Ukraine.

The United States welcomed this decision of Kazakhstan, noting that it was surprised by the reaction of the country, which is considered an ally of Russia.
